Diu Fort History
Diu Fort
The fort of Diu was built by the Portuguese government. The Union Territory of India is located on the western coast of India in Diu. The post was created by the Portuguese in the midst of their pilgrimage to the island of Diu. The city of Diu is located to the west of the fort. The fort was incorporated as a result of defenses by Bahadur Shah, the Sultan of Gujarat and the Portuguese in 1535, when the Mughal emperor Humayun fought to capture the region. The development of the fort began in October and was completed in March, with all their power exercised by the Portuguese Constitutional Act. The Portuguese ruled over this territory from 1537 until the Indian invasion of December 1961. Today it is a landmark of Diu and one of the Seven Wonders of Portuguese Origin in the World. The fort is situated on the seashore of the island of Diu. This calls for a brighter perspective of the ocean. It is situated on three sides of the sea. The outer sea line of the fort is lined, the prison is located inside the fort.
